Aesthetic design
Incredibly sturdy
Elevated corrosion resistance
Why choose glass railings?
Glass railings are a very clean choice, with little to no details, providing great sturdiness and corrosion resistance. They are characterized by a stylish contemporary look, creating a feeling of spaciousness. They are suitable for staircases, balconies and porches with a view, as well as for creative design purposes for both the interior and the exterior of your home.

PNS
Glass railings with side mountingIt allows an optimal space use for narrow staircases and balconies while providing sturdiness and reliability.
PNS
Glass railings with upper mountingThe upper mounting is either visible or hidden and is achieved by the use of aluminum consoles anchored with chemical anchors to the floor.
Warranty
We provide a 10-year warranty for our railings – a period in which we guarantee peace and security.
Maintenance
The removal of damage and defects are carried out as soon as possible both during the warranty and after warranty periods.
Technical features
Glass railings are made of edged laminated glass, with a thickness of 16 mm and more, attached to the concrete structure of the building with consoles for upper or side mounting. Glass railings can have different types of handrails made of aluminum or wood profiles, various in cut and color. Attachment consoles may be visible with an aluminum lid or hidden in the floor for greater simplicity of vision. They are mounted by chemical anchors or bolted to steel stairs or railings.
Treatment
PNS
Triplex
- Laminated glass (Triplex) is safe. It is made of two layers of clear glass, glued by a colorless resistant PVB layer.
- If it ever breaks it does not fall apart into sharp shards, but in fragments that remain glued to the film.
PNS
Tempered glass
- The probability of the tempered glass to break is minimal, but if it did, it would break into tiny pieces, thus reducing the risk of injury.
- Its mechanical strength is up to 5 times higher than that of the regular glass. It can withstand temperature variations up to 250ºC.
PNS
Edging
- There are two main types of edging: straight and non-straight
- Diamond blades are used for both the standard (FA) edging and the special edging.
PNS
Openings
- Drilling holes for the mountable consoles is done by a machine with special drills and a fluid for lubrication and cooling.
- The openings can range from 3 mm up to 44 mm.
Handrails
PNS
Round
- Round handles have a diameter of ø30
PNS
Square
- Square handles measure 25х25
PNS
Rectangular
- Rectangular handles measure 40х25
PNS
Semi-circular
- Semi-circular handrails measure ø30
PNS
Without handrails
- Glass railings without handrails are maximally devoid of details.
- They are characterized by great sturdiness and corrosion resistance.
- They have a stylish contemporary look and create a feeling of spaciousness.
Glass
PNS
White glass
- The white glass is a transparent glass, which is either tempered or laminated edged float glass.
- Glass thickness 10 - 22 mm
PNS
Colored glass
- The glass for the glass railings can be tinted in different colors.
- They are beautiful.
- They reduce the penetration of UV rays and reflection in the building.
- They allow further treatment.
- Glass thickness 10 - 22 mm

Frosted glass
- Frosted glass can be either tempered float glass or laminated glass.
- For tempered glass, the frosting is done either mechanically or chemically.
- For the laminated glass, the interlayer can be frosted.
Tempered glass pane
Tempered glass pane is aimed to provide a greater safety, sturdiness and security. During the process of manufacturing, the glass, pre-treated and cut to size, is subjected to high temperature heating and then to a rapid cooling. Once the annealing is done, the glass can no longer be cut, edged, drilled or undergo any other treatment apart from matting and lamination. To make this glass, it is first cut and treated, then it is placed in the annealing furnace. In the furnace the glass is heated up to 700ºC, then it is moved to the cooling section, via computer control, in which it is cooled rapidly by high-pressure air. This rapid cooling causes high compression and stress in the glass as a result its nucleus remains under pressure. Although the physical characteristics remain unchanged, the additional tensions created within the glass, increases its thermal and mechanical strength.
The advantages of the tempered glass panel
- Safety - The probability of the tempered glass pane to break is minimal, however in case it does it will break into small pieces, thus reducing greatly the risk of injuries.
- Sturdiness - Tempered glass has great mechanical strength and it is 4 to 5 times sturdier than untempered glass with the same thickness. This is due to the tension generated during the annealing. It also has a greater thermal sturdiness than regular glass and can withstand a difference in temperature of 250ºC. It is stable at temperatures ranging from -70º to 300°C.
- Security - Tempered glass is much more difficult to break as opposed to float or laminated glass.
- Sound - Tempered glass has the same sound insulation characteristics as ordinary monolithic glass.
- Solar control - Tempered glass preserves the same solar qualities, as the glass that was subjected to annealing.
Laminated glass panes
Glass can be laminated – Triplex. Laminated glass is also safe glass. Unlike tempered glass (Sekurit) the Triplex has other advantages and properties. Triplex glass is made of two layers of clear glass that are glued (laminated) with a stable colorless PVB layer between the glass panels. If Triplex glass breaks in a road accident, from an impact with a solid object in motion, or in an attempted burglary or in other instances, the Triplex does not break into sharp pieces, but into individual fragments that remain glued to the film, thus it cannot injure people located near the broken glass. Even when broken and cracked the triplex glass does not fall apart and remains like a barrier against other influences, which is a great advantage.
Tinted glass
Glass for railings can be tinted in different colors. The technology of production of tinted glass is similar to that of the colorless float since in the beginning of its manufacturing process metal oxides are added to the main raw materials, that allow the corresponding color variations – green, blue, gray, bronze. In addition to the benefits provided by their distinctive aesthetics, tinted float glass is primarily designed to reduce solar heat, UV exposure and reflections inside the building.
Tinted float glass achieves its features by absorbing solar energy, thus sometimes it is referred to as heat absorbing glass. This heat absorbing quality means that the glass is under thermal pressure, thus some thicker or darker products may need to be tempered in order to avoid breakage by thermal stress.
The advantages of the tinted glass
- Gray glass - Characterized by low light transmission and good solar and reflection control.
- Bronze tinted glass - The bronze tinted glass is designed to reduce solar heat and reflection, but also to provide a greater light transmittance as opposed to the one the gray glass provides.
- Green glass - Green glass was originally used in the automotive industry as it has very elevated light transmission properties. However, modern green shades offer a better solar performance with a better light transmittance than that of the gray and bronze shades.
- Dark blue glass - Dark blue glass is an alternative to gray and bronze glass, and has similar properties.
- Light blue glass - Light blue glass is ideal if you require a thicker glass with an elevated light transmission.
Tinted glass can be treated, tempered, laminated and bent. They are used for solar control, since they absorb more heat than the transparent glass and emit most of the absorbed heat outside by means of natural convection.
